We are looking for an enthusiastic research technician to join our newly established group which uses zebrafish as a model organism to study nervous system development.
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will work closely with the principal investigator and other team members to support ongoing research projects and manage zebrafish and laboratory stocks. Our research uses genetically modified zebrafish to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurotransmission between neurons and glia, in particular oligodendrocytes, to understand how they regulate the process of myelination.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- A BSc in biology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences or related field
- Relevant zebrafish experience
- Experience with molecular biology
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
