Full time, 35 hours per week

The Institute of Sport, Physical Education & Health Sciences (SPEHS) located within the Moray House School of Education and Sport is looking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Physical Education. In this role, you will be required to contribute to teaching, leading practical activities, placement observations, dissertation supervision, and course management.

We focus on creating opportunities for students to connect theory and practice, which brings their education to life, prepares them to enter the teaching profession, and equips them to inspire the young people they will be working with.

You must have recent experience of delivering high quality provision within Physical Education. As the successful applicant will be visiting students on placement, we require the successful candidate to possess full GTCS registration.

The Opportunity:

The appointed person will be expected to make a significant contribution to the academic and professional work on the physical education programmes offered within the Institute of Sport, Physical Education and Health Sciences (SPEHS). This includes the provision of high quality teaching, practical delivery and placement visits.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Master’s level qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent.
  • Extensive and recent experience of teaching in schools
  • Full registration with GTCS
  • Outstanding practical pedagogies
