These wards have high levels of need amongst children in terms of a range of health, education and social indicators, high child populations and cultural and ethnic diversity. The Stay One Step Ahead home safety project used mixed methods, including both quantitative and qualitative approaches to evaluate how well home safety promotion was implemented from the perspective of parents, service providers and the health services.
