We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Assistant Accountant for a centrally based Oxford University Department, starting asap on a full-time basis.
Duties:
- Ensure that the financial transactions of the department are recorded in an accurate and timely manner
- Manage the patent recharges to licensees on a regular basis in preparation for the month end reconciliation between the income and expenditure accounts
- Prepare Membership Invoices
- Review aged purchase orders logged on the system and investigate so they can be cleared
- Reconcile Supplier statements
- Payment run for suppliers and expense claims
- Management of deferred payments
- Responding to academic and client queries on invoicing and payments
- Run queries and reports from the database and be fully conversant with this
- Prepare the OUC quarterly, half yearly and yearly statistics reporting, running reports and maintaining spreadsheets
