U.S. Embassy London is seeking four Passport & Citizenship Assistants to serve as members of one of two processing teams within the Passport & Citizenship Unit. You will be responsible for processing routine passport and citizenship cases received through personal appearance, mail and the Military Courier System. You will interview applicants seeking routine passport and citizenship services and process cases to the point of final review. Professional presentation, courtesy and manner are critical to ensure visitors to the Embassy gain a favorable impression of our operation and receive appropriate assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.

EDUCATION:
4 GCSEs, High School Diploma, or an equivalent academic qualification.

EXPERIENCE:
Progressively responsible experience in work involving the application of complex subject matter. As employees are required to research the Foreign Affairs Manual and apply it correctly, the incumbent must have prior experience navigating complex regulations and applying them in a practical work situation. Must also have experience in data entry and working as part of a team to provide a service, including extensive face-to-face contact with customers in a high volume, customer-orientated operation.

LANGUAGE:
Must be fluent in both written and spoken English (this may be tested).
