Veterinary Care Assistant

We're looking for a veterinary care assistant to join our busy small animal practice in Swindon.
You'll be working alongside vets, vet nurses, other VCAs, and our reception team, carrying out a wide range of tasks. We're looking for a team player who is willing to get stuck in and is eager to learn. We'll provide full training and support to get you going, and you'll quickly become an integral member of the team.
Your tasks will include keeping the clinic clean, tidy, and organised; handling a variety of small animals; feeding and monitoring in-patients; running clinical tests; preparing prescriptions in pharmacy; managing stock; helping set up for operations; speaking to clients on the phone and in person. Good verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy are essential.
The clinic is open from 08:00-19:00 during the week and is also open at the weekend. Your shifts will include evening and weekend work.

This is a 40-hour per week role, initially paid at £10.50 per hour.
