What will you be doing?
Carrying out network cabling installations within customer premises.- Carry out surveys of customer premises and report upon findings from an installation point of view.
- Working from plans, marked drawings and following crib sheets.
- Ability to work at height - using ladders,podium steps and access platforms such as MEWPs/ PASMA.
- Installation of catenary wires
- Carrying out Duct works using a cobra and other tools.
- Deliver a Data Cabling project to the customer's expectations.
- Fibre splicing single mode and multimode - training can be given
- Flexibility to Work away from home including some evenings and weekends as and when the job requires it.
Who are we looking for?
An engineer with experience in the Installation of Cat5 & Cat6 Cabling.- An engineer with experience in the Installation of Fibre both single mode and multimode.
- CNCI accreditation - Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®) - Desirable
- CSCS accreditation - Desirable
- An engineer with good customer facing skills.
- Fibre splicing experience - Desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of H&S
- An ability to Survey and deliver a Data Cabling project to the customer's expectations.
- An engineer who has the self motivation to become a Cabling expert who can gain the trust and respect of the business and customers.
Essential Skills
Implementation of:
Cat5, Cat5E, Cat6, Cat6A and Fibre.- LAN Rack and stack – installs and decommissioning.
- WLAN – installs and decommissioning.
- SD-WAN – installs and decommissioning.
- Broadband – installs and decommissioning.
