Lead Plant Operator - N. Las Vegas NV

The Position - In this role, you will be responsible for running the daily operations of our grease and/or wastewater processing operations.

Responsibilities

Functions as “player/coach” with plant operators. Works alongside the team performing similar tasks and carrying out similar responsibilities, but also coaches and develops the team during day-to-day production and plant operation Acts as liaison for management and plant operators, delivering and receiving information necessary for effective and safe plant operations Compliance related to regulatory requirements. Strict adherence to all permitted activities. Continuously monitors plant equipment and systems to efficiently minimize unplanned downtime Provides plant operator support to ensure the plant’s productivity targets Investigate equipment failures, determine root cause of failure, and recommend appropriate solutions to reduce reoccurrence of/or eliminate cause of failure Participates in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns. Provide technical and hands- on support as required during shutdowns Provides troubleshooting expertise for the production units Complies with OSHA, EPA, MSDS, and WRM StandardsSmooth operation of the entire plant, enforcement of policies and compliance with SOPs and safety. Receives and reconciles deliveries, checking for shortages and product issues Supports raw material processing; operates all material handling equipment Proactively acts on shortcomings identified in plant inspections and proposes solutions Pulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring that the exact quantity and type of product required by the customer is loaded and shipped Efficiently moves product to/from storage areas into/out tanker trailers Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area, as well as professional personal appearance Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and security of the plant Ensure the strict adherence to all company policies related to safety as well as attendance. Ensure preventive maintenance is on schedule as well as cleaning of all tanks on a regular schedule. Oversee the day to- day operations of the plant. Maintain all records related to scheduled and emergency maintenance and cleaning. P roper documentation/ inspection of all loads from 3 rd party.

Qualifications

Educational Background & Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent Must be able to travel up and down catwalk stairs repeatedly. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times a day. Mechanical aptitude 1-2 years prior experience in wastewater facility or plant
