Farm Labourer, Bedfordshire
White Rose Farms Ltd are specialists in breeding and rearing pigs to Red Tractor standards. We are part of industry leading food producer Cranswick plc, a progressive FTSE250 Company.
We have an opportunity on our farm sites in Bedfordshire for a Farm Labourer. The operation consists of two modern units with state-of-the-art weaner and farrowing accommodation, plus two other finishing pig sites. You will be self-motivated and pro-active. This is a great opportunity to join our fast paced ever growing business with a bright future.
Main Duties:
- Be responsible for the cleaning of the sow / gilt yards using specialist / pressure washing equipment
- Support staff to ensure that the unit is kept clean and tidy at all times and presentable to visitors
You will need:
- Experience with livestock or an agricultural background is desirable but full training will be given
- A keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a good work ethic
- UK driving licence (desirable)
- Basic IT skills (desirable)
