Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Health Care Assistant (Domiciliary Care):

  • Acting as a positive role model; provide effective supervision and guidance for the team; contribute towards their performance and professional development
  • Communicating any concerns to senior management
  • Ensuring the implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed
  • Providing practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with personal care needs
  • Observing and monitoring the wellbeing of residents, ensuring that any changes are referred and documented
  • Monitoring and allocating work for HCAs
  • Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues and visitors
  • Undertake administration of medication training and administer medication to residents

Requirements for the Senior Health Care Assistant (Domiciliary Care):

  • No specific qualifications are required, however a Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care, is desirable
  • Full-driving license and access to a car
  • Previous care experience
