Role Overview & Responsibilities

Woodbine is looking for a supervisor to work in our kennels, cattery and doggy day nursery based just outside of Liverpool, in Aughton. We are family ran with an amazing small team and we are only looking for an exceptional person to join us.

You will be under the direction of the owners to undertake the day to day running of the business to ensure that at all times it is maintained as professional, caring and offering a high level of service.

We are looking for a person who can lead and oversee staff members and ensure they carry out their duties, as well as working hands on with the animals too.

Your duties would be: feeding the animals, keeping the pens and animals clean, exercising and giving enrichment. FOH, answering the telephone and email. Social media

Skills required:

Confidence in handling animals

The ability to lead a small team

Being organised and calm

Be physical fit

You must have either an Animal Care Qualification and/or relevant work history in the animal care industry. You must have managerial, customer service and reception skills in any type of industry, preferably cattery or kennels.

Full driving license essential. Some overnight stays will be required.

Approx. 30 hours per week more to cover busy periods and holidays etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £11.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Animal care: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving License (required)
• NVQ Animal care (required)
