The team
ITS (Innovation and Technology Services) is the University's IT directorate, responsible for the maintenance and onward development of IT Services that support the University's business needs and the development and design of innovative new services in support of the University's Digital Strategy. ITS is a friendly and supportive place to work.
The role

York St. John is offering 3 students the opportunity to work as an IT Support Assistant.
We are looking for applicant who are interested in developing an understanding of the opportunities available in a career in IT. We are particularly interested in anyone who is seeking to develop skills in business and data analysis and developing service excellence. ITS welcomes placement year students who can provide the team with a student view of our services. Successful applicants will have an opportunity to work alongside colleagues delivering projects and undertaking day to day IT service management.
Past projects have included the development of a new IT Service Management tool and the configuration and installation of a Firewall for our London Campus. Opportunities will be available to work alongside Cyber Security experts, Learning Design experts, Application, System and Data analysts.
Previous Placement Year Students have enjoyed their time with us and have gone on to gain employment in Digital roles.
