Role Overview & Responsibilities

<b>Location:</b> Aldgate House

<br><br>

<b>Business:</b> Construction

<br><br>

<b>Role Purpose:</b><br>

To manage a site or section, covering the day to day activities of the site team, to achieve successful completion in line with Company and Customer expectations. To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and other third parties in the best interests of the business.

<br><br>

<b>Key Accountabilities:</b><br>

Oversee all site activities and monitor progress against the programme taking remedial action where appropriate whilst protecting the Company's contractual position at all times.

<br>Ensure the effective close out of projects and that snagging commences as specified by the customer from initial site set-up to completion.

<br>Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure high standards of quality are achieved and address any issues with the sub-contractors and trades.

<br>Identify potential issues which will affect successful project delivery and take necessary action to remedy the situation or escalate as appropriate.

<br>Work closely with the Commercial team to monitor the financial status of the project, identify solutions to problems and improvements and organise activity to deliver these.

<br>Safeguard the Company's financial position and report variations to the commercial team.

<br>Manage the performance of direct reports and sub-contract labour, ensuring they are working safely and efficiently.

<b>

Skills and Experience:</b><br>

Demonstrable management experience of commercial new build and refurbishment works including extensive M&E services.

<br>

Experience of leading site activities for D&B projects up to £10m and or working as part of a team on projects over £10m.

<br>MoJ experience preferred but not essential.

<br><br>

<b>Qualifications:</b><br>

SMSTS

<br>CSCS

<br>First Aid (training can be organised)

<br>Construction related qualification

<br><br>

DBS/Enhanced Level 1 security clearance will require passing for this role.

<br><br>
